At the BIPOC Mental Health Coalition, we believe that access to culturally relevant mental health resources is essential for the well-being and resilience of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color in Dane County. This page is a growing collection of local supports, tools, and services that reflect the lived experiences and unique needs of our diverse communities.

Journey Mental Health Center (JMHC): JMHC is a nonprofit providing innovative behavioral health services for individuals and families in Dane County. We help people live in recovery from mental health and substance use disorders.​

The Hmong Institute: The Hmong Institute is a community builder and educator for those serving the Hmong and other underserved communities in Wisconsin. We provide culturally and linguistically appropriate mental health and senior services, foster new leadership, and preserve Hmong heritage.

The Rainbow Project: The Rainbow Project's mission is to provide restorative healing and hope to young children and families who have experienced trauma; thereby giving them the ability to form life-sustaining skills.

🤝 Community Programs 
Centro Hispano of Dane County: Centro Hispano works to improve the quality of life for Latinos and others living in Dane County by empowering youth, strengthening families, and engaging the community.
​Centro’s Peer Support Services provide culturally rooted, one-on-one, free of cost  support for Latinx individuals, grounded in lived experience and strengthened by collaboration across all of Centro’s programs.

Dane County Immigration Affairs Office: The Immigration Affairs Office is part of the Prevention and Early Intervention Division of DCDHS. IAO's mission is to foster a safe and welcoming environment for immigrants and their families by connecting them with services that address their unique needs.

Dane County Youth Connect Program: Dane County Youth Connect is a voluntary, short-term program that provides linkage and supportive services to youth and families following a mental health crisis. Our mission is to connect youth and families in crisis to community-based interventions that support safety and wellbeing, while promoting capacity for self-determination.

Domestic Abuse Intervention Services (DAIS): Domestic Abuse Intervention Services (or DAIS) believes that a world free from violence is possible. We work to make Dane County, WI, a safer, more just, more equitable place for people who have experienced domestic violence, their children, and the people who love them.

RCC Sexual Violence Resource Center: Serving Dane County since 1973, the RCC (formerly the Rape Crisis Center) is a non-profit organization that provides services to survivors (and their support people) of all forms of sexual violence, including recent sexual assault, past sexual assault, incest (past or present), sexual harassment, and sexual exploitation.
